verdicchio is nice if you sit in the cellar
Beira Alta, some of the most delicious food (especially their prawns) and great atmosphere. Pricing is above average though.
Solve two of the world's major problems: feed the homeless to the hungry

None of the decent restaurants are, well, "affordable". You have the likes of John Dorys, Gourmet Garage, Spur, Ocean Basket etc. But really, I don't see the point in eating at any of them. I reckon Modo Vino and Meat Company are the more affordable options of the lot. There is a Thai restaurant there which is usually cheap but I've never been there...
Kai Thai is pretty good, and the atmosphere is nice.
