Is it possible to add a mobile Broadband card?

Hi,

I have a Dell XPS L502X Notebook (see specifications in my signature). My notebook does not have a Mobile Broadband card in it. When I had a look at my notebook had a place for a Sim card underneath the battery.

Is it possible for one to add a Mobile Broadband card into this notebook?

Usually a SIM slot indicates built-in mobile broadband capability... are you sure it doesn't have it already? What happens when you have a SIM inserted?

When I insert a sim card into the sim card slot, My Wi-Fi and Bluetooth does not work anymore. When I take it out, the bluetooth and Wi-Fi works.

Check in your Dell Settings panel (and/or any physical hardware buttons) to enable and disable the different wireless stuff. Anything to enable/disable WWAN or Mobile Broadband that you can find?

I somehow also remember there being a Dell Mobile Broadband utility being preloaded in Windows.

I somehow also remember there being a Dell Mobile Broadband utility being preloaded in Windows.

The utility was not preloaded when I got my laptop, it does not display the Mobile card. I tried using the Driver disc I got, I cant open it, now that I put the Sim card.

When I open the Advanced Configuration, It shows the Wi-Fi ticked, it shows WPAN ticked, but Mobile broadband is disabled, I cant tick it.
