Thread: How to get ex out of flat

I will not be able to type this out in English, so excuse me while I reply in Afrikaans:
Gaan na 'n landros en doen die volgende.
Kry 'n interdik teen die persoon en staaf dit met die volgende woorde: "Daar is 'n vredes breuk tussen my en (x)."

Baie belangrik om daardie woorde "vredes breuk" te gebruik.

Now you have legal grounds to force the person to move out and the police MUST intervene.

I feel terrible giving people advice like this, hope all works out well.

Maybe go and hire a huge bodybuilder to sleep in her old bed (where the ex currently sleeps).
just make sure the BB is not gay.Boyfriend would rather get shafted then be forced to leave.

Direct translation = "breach of peace"

It may be a legal term under Roman-Dutch Law, don't know.

If his name isn't on the contract then he is trespassing. Call the cops.

Her contract states that she is not allowed to sub-let. Can the flat owner do anything about it?

Get the landlord involved as there is usually a clause in the contract that states that subletting is not allowed. With enough force he will move right along.
If its in a complex get them to change the access code then when his out his out and cant get back in then chuck his stuff in a bag and throw it over the wall. Then when he enters while someone is coming out phone the cops as he is illegally entering private property.

If all else fail get some backup pick him up and throw him out with force.

Some people just need to be put into place.

I didn't move out of my one ex's house immediately when we broke up - I had let go a R15,000 rent house I was only paying R500 rent for to move in with her... so I didn't move out until I found another place.

Does he have a key ?
If not, she is repeatedly letting him in, you said in your first post, he made a noise and she let him in, so he did not have a key.

So, she is letting him, feeling sorry for him, and not letting go - there is the problem. She is moaning to you about the one side of the issue, but on the other side she is still indulging him.

If she really was fed-up, she could simply dump his stuff downstairs at the bin room, and refuse him entry to her flat, but she has not done this simple and straightforward move ?

Change the locks. Finished. I have done that with my tenant who had a boyfriend who would not leave. Then, when he performed outside the door, called the police who asked him to leave. His stuff was in bags in the corridor.
