Almost everybody that I know with an iPad has bough a bluetooth keyboard, but they perform terribly.

The iPad really needs a proper clip-on keyboard like the Asus one.

It is one of the reasons why I rate the Asus TF700T higher than an iPad 3.
Really? That surprises me only because I don't know a single person like that. For me, and the other ipad owners I know, the role the ipad plays doesn't really require an external keyboard since it's not seen as a pc replacement.

I do find voice dictation useful however, much more than I thought I ever would. It's also nice to see it's also available on OsX now.

Yes, it adds 5 hours to the battery life, and adds a full USB port (mouse, card reader), as well as a full SD card reader.

And the integration with the tablet is superlative.

Oh, and it is a chicklet keyboard with a very nice feel, with a touchpad.

    Really cool, worth every cent.

Well it's a bit more than just another HID then Still would rather a nice Ultrabook if I found carrying a keyboard around necessary. All depends on what you use it for I guess.

Most people (that I know, at least, and including myself) sometimes use their tablets for something more serious than playing games, and then they need a keyboard. Maybe not every day, but you need to have one available.

I am typing this post on the Asus TF700T keyboard, and I can assure that that it is much more comfortable than typing on a soft keyboard.

But I am at home now so that is fine - maybe if I was on the bus I would only use a soft keyboard - horses for courses.

But it does enhance the usability of the tablet significantly, and the iPad does not have this.

Well, I was going to buy an Asus UX-31A i7 Ultrabook, but now that I have this I have decided to forget about the Ultrabook, I will just use my old notebook when I really need a notebook.

IMO this combination is that good, but of course opinions will differ, and of course you cannot do everything on a tablet that you can do on an ultrabook.

But right now I don't need to visit clients, and work on their premises, once that happens again I will revisit the UX-31A - It really seems to be a great computer - but note that I am talking about the new UX31A-XB72, not the old one which they are selling in SA.

In fact, if I can get it with 8GB RAM and Windows 8 I will probably go for it.

Edit: Does anyone know why Ultrabooks seem to be limited to 4GB RAM, at least the Asus ones are - it is not a limitation by Intel and / or Microsoft, is it ?

Did you say 'smiley face' at the end of that sentence?

Just because I don't type much you shouldn't assume I'm not still a "power user". I've found the ipad lends itself very nicely to photography, particularly editing.

Still works surprisingly well even with the TV on and the kids shouting.

Mostly what I've indicated below. I'd like to give Adobe Touch a try but I'll wait until they get rid of the file size limits.

For the voice dictation part? or is that Siri?
