But then again, I may be wrong. A relatively small crowd can behave very irrational under pressure.
How will a country or 'the entire population' of earth collectively behave under pressure ?
I have no clue but down deep inside I feel I don't want to know.

Can you imagine how humanity will react when we know for a fact that we are not alone in the Universe? And I don't mean Aliens come and attack, they can simply come over park for a day or 2 and say hello and piss off again.
.... and thanks for all the fish.

i think one world government is somewhat of a utopian daydream.
humans are cooperative and selfish at the same time. it's not a binary thing.
you can say that sharing is caring until somebody takes what you want/need.
at the end of the day, nobody would agree because humans need and want different things.
this is a largely the result of competition and biological/environmental pressure. which is often beyond our control.
i think we'd have lofty aims, but when it comes down to determining ideology, politics and economics, it would fall apart.
there's a reason the world is in the state it's in (pun intended).
of greater concern to me is the persistent assumption that we need a state. i'm not always convinced that we do.
one world government sounds like it could be potentially more efficient but in likelihood would be the exact opposite.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so

Depends on the type of government you live under now... I imagine people being oppressed would go for it, but people living well wouldn't...
