strangely today I was enquiring on how to port to CellC, I lost on R30 a day before on MTN on one of their internet services, without using it. These companies seem to think that they have a god given right to take our money.

Well, they took a niche (at the time) communication technology and transformed it into a basic human need, where people nowadays consider buying airtime the same way as they consider buying half a loaf of bread. I guess when you have achieved something so remarkable, you can name your price and, unofficially, collude with your competitors to keep prices high.

sure cellc often has no signal when i'm on the road, but then again i hate being phoned when i'm driving. in major cities the signal is perfect, which is what ilike. unfortunately geocaching happens a lot more on the road, but i get by fine.

oh, that bit at the top used to be me, until i put it out like that. last year i ditched vodacom and now i'm happy.
