More than one person have told me how they were tought by their pastors how to speak what we call "brabbel taal" ....random sounds. What is also strange is that every member of those congregations are "able" to do this....Holy Spirit gift??

Because the bible does have some historical accuracy for example it says that holy spirit was poured out on first century christians and mentiins a certain roman emperor ruling at that time those are the old days.

Regarding the question of today the bible also specifically says that there will be no more prophets and anyone claiming to be one would be lying.

Fair enough . But

Scientology is an obvious scam much like some cults that call themselves christian. Even in well established religious organisations there are individuals who are only there cause they were rejected some where else. These are people who abuse children when they are suppose to be role models.

I am saying the obviousness of their sole purpose being enrichment of their founders like the churches in nigeria(reported by unreported world).

I guees to people without any religious affiliation it becomes difficult to tease out which ones are scams.

Of course you can mock dearly held beliefs. If you think those beliefs are stupid or flawed on a logical level then you are free to voice that opinion. Nothing at all wrong with it. If we weren't allowed to speak negatively of dearly held beliefs the world would be a very strange place where people could claim whatever the fsck they wanted and nobody would ever be allowed to offer a counter point because that would be some sort of attack on dearly held beliefs.

Are you honestly trying to tell me the freaks that bomb abortion clinics don't deserve to be treated like the misguided pieces of human refuse that they are? I'll go to any church provided that they preach my interpretation of the message of Christ.
I stear clear from those preaching prosperity, speaking in tongues, faith healings and other practices I regard as sensation orientated and nott a truly miraculous event

Porch I agree with you on most of that but let us not forget how harmful some cults are to the vulnerable.

The reason I persist with how scientology is a scam is becauase I think it fall under the category of harmful cults and trully I would like to know how they are still in bussiness.
