Porch I agree with you on most of that but let us not forget how harmful some cults are to the vulnerable.

The reason I persist with how scientology is a scam is becauase I think it fall under the category of harmful cults and trully I would like to know how they are still in bussiness.

So any religion that causes harm to others should be exposed and is fair game to mocking, is this what you are saying?

You cannot call one cult a generalisation. You know very well the countless reports of them scamming people out of their money and targeting the elderly and not only the mentally weak but actual
mentally ill people.

As a JW I would be happy if a person after studying what the bible really teaches told me , you know what I have studied what the bible really teaches and I could not be bothered .

I would leave that person alone but I cannot let the misinterpertations go and I will keep correcting those.

Friend those are all my cards , yes I do believe the bible is the inspired word of God. Yes somethings may have been added or left out in the various translations.

You didn't say that we shouldn't mock a belief unless you deemed it to be harmful. You said we shouldn't be mocking beliefs.

Christianity can lead people to bomb abortion clinics. Sounds like that can also qualify as harmful depending on your perspective.

If we were to hold your view that dearly held beliefs shouldn't be mocked then we can't say anything nasty about this abortionists beliefs because they are his dearly held beliefs. This doesn't make sense buddy. Not in the slightest.

If I see a belief or practice as destructive or potentially destructive then fsck the sensibilities of those that believe it is something awesome I am going to say something. Just as you say something about Scientology.

not difficult to interpret the gospel of Christ. It's pretty straight forward for any moron to understand...which is why we have soooo many denominations that interpret it in different ways... uh no wait.... BTW, I believe mine is the correct one
