Well let's wait and see - pre-orders certainly slaughters anything Apple have dreamt of.

Samsung Galaxy S3 is now the most pre-ordered gadget in history at nine million - beating the iPhone 4S's four million

Based on live searches and sales using uSwitch Mobile Tracker, the S III ranked ahead of the iPhone 4S, which replaced the Galaxy S II in February as the most popular phone.[212][213] As of July 2012, the S III is still the most popular phone,[214] and is ranked by TechRadar as the No. 1 handset in its constantly-updated list of the 20 best mobile phones

Seem to be discrepancies in sales figures.

Samsung is hammering Motorola, Nokia, BB and HTC more than it is Apple, let's face it.

As I said before Samsung's numbers are bullsh.t. Their "preorder" sales are actually orders of stock from carriers where as Apple's sales numbers are units sold to consumers.
Samsung loves to talk up their "sales" to carriers but not the other end of that relationship: returns and write downs.
There's a reason they don't release any actual numbers anymore.
