DSTV via Slingbox, any success stories?

Was wondering if anyone has successfully managed to setup and access it remotely anywhere in the world?

I tested one of the original SD ones a few years ago. Was pretty good, but there was no market for it in SA. Think it is still somewhere on a shelf in our safe. Maybe it's time to dust it off. You need a good connection on both sides, for obvious reasons...

Please. Let me know if you were able to controle the decoder with the slingbox ir emitter

I use a hauppage broadway. Basicly the same thing as a slingbox, but it does not support the dstv ir codes. I could however build a nice setup with the iTach wifi2ir network gateway to select channels etc

buy a irdeto smith cam, put your dstv smartcard in and put that in a reciver/decoder with ci slot which the slingbox has the ir codes.
