Thanks for the comments. I am all the more leaning to the Samsung Galaxy SII with a smart plan attached. Still a fantastic phone + 240 min + 300mb + 300sms. You are covered all the way.

I actually prefer the look of the SII, and the differences compared to the SIII isn't that huge that it makes the SII look bad.
phil0794 - Another contract to check out if you're sticking with Vodacom is a or TopUp400s. You get 250MB data on top of the R400 airtime - then you can use the airtime to buy say another 250MB bundle (R100), totaling 500MB which should see you through the month. Will leave you with R300 airtime in a month - which will probably get you an average of 120 anytime minutes.Works out better than the Smart Plan...
Very true and interesting, but I think you will have an additional pay-in on top of the R400 if you take a SII handset and more so with theSIII handset. Could add up.
Can i also have a data contract attached to my cellphone contract? Like in the special they have at vodacom. 2 gigs at R149.
It's Vodacom, so a definite NO.
After Cell C's data rate reductions there really is no other option - they're by far the best network to be on if you have a data hungry smartphone, providing they have proper coverage in your area...
Check Cell C's contract builder. You can get the S3 with something like 100anytime mins, 100 sms and 1GB data for R580pm...
