Default Have you ever not received a Amazon parcel?

If not, do they refund you? I am about to order some toys and using the AmazonGlobal Expedited Shipping (averages 8-16 business days). I have had parcels go MIA buying off eBay and lost out.

Does Amazon guaranty delivery and if not do you get refunded?

I have had one or two go missing and they re-shipped, the customer support is way beyond what you are used to, you don't need to worry buying from them.

Certainly not what I am used to. Thanks for the reply. Placed my order and holding thumbs

I've always used the postal option, not the courier option, and only had one parcel come so late that I gave up on it and told Amazon it was lost. They shipped a new one free and when the original arrived, suggested I donate the books to a library when I offered to return it. I've got a good post office near me, with responsible staff, and I think that's why I don't lose parcels. It isn't the internal shipping within SAPO, it is the end offices where stuff is stolen.

    Couriers are normally 100% reliable.

I ordered a book and it went missing. It hadn't been urgent so I had it sent at the cheapest rate. Anyway, I contacted them when it hadn't arrived and they couriered a replacement. About 2 weeks after the replacement arrived the original order showed up and it was simple enough to have that returned.

We have ordered millions of rands worth of stuff from them in the last few months. I can say not one item has gone missing or damaged. From a customer service point of view though, we have contacted them a few times for returns/DOA goods and all i can say is WOW!!! You have nothing to worry about. They use UPS or DHL - so you have recourse with both them and the couriers.

Well I am pleased to say my goodies arrived today, 2 days earlier than expected. The one package was worse for wear but nothing broken, just bent boxes etc. Overall very impressed.

Slight resurrection here - I see when you buy off Amazon they calculate the import duty costs on the fly, they also state that should the import costs be lower than what they charge you they refund you. Has anyone ever received a refund? If so how long does it take?

Edit: Ok I see it takes 60days from shipment to receive a refund if applicable. Still interested to know if anyone has actually received one.
