“Instead, it simply rejected Samsung’s opening offer, refused to negotiate further and to this day has not paid Samsung a dime for Apple‘s use of Samsung’s standards-essential technology,” Samsung said.

The profit margins on Apple products are HUGE (screwing iFans) ... why Apple sits on such a mountain of money selling one phone, one tablet, etc, ... but no-one else is allowed to do the same, especially not to them. They want it all for as near as possible to FREE, and then sell it to the public with a huge profit margin. How they became so wealthy.

I stopped reading Jobs' biography halfway through because I just couldn't stand the man any more ... was one of my heroes.

Apple turned against those it represented when it all started. They became the gluttonous monster they were supposedly fighting (HP/IBM/etc). I was a fan because they were the underdog fighting big bad Microsoft. Now ...

Stop seeing companies as "big bad" whether it be Apple or Microsoft.
They are just companies, neither good nor bad

I am eagerly awaiting the day when Google is awarded their pull down notifications patent. Apple will be destroyed.

Well, Apple seem to be winning far more than they are loosing. But the legal battle is just an aspect of the real battle, which for all companies, is profits

Apple should definitely be forced to redesign their notification center, as it seems it would be in violation of Google's patent. However, it isn't looking great for getting that patent awarded
