Thread: Looking for ambitious Partners

    Cool Looking for ambitious Partners

    Hi,

My name is Christos. I moved here in South Africa 1.5 years ago. I was born here, but lived in Greece my whole life. Since the situation is so bad in Greece, I decided to move back to South Africa. I am 27 years old. I started a Web Design / Web Development company about a month and a half ago. I find it tough to work on my own and motivate myself. I won't life that I struggle a little bit on the communication level. Since Greek is my first language, I struggle a little bit with English. To the point now.

I am looking for two ambitious persons, who are in the web design / web development field to become my business partners. Since the company is not making any profits right now, I will give the 33% to each person for free and we all be making decisions to take the business to profit. We can also rent one office together and until the company starts making profits we can divide the rent to pay from our pockets. If anyone has a garage we can turn into a temporary office, that will work too! Steve Jobs and Steve Woszniak started from a garage. I'm looking for people in the Pretoria area.

I don't have a problem changing the company's name, logo etc etc etc....

If anyone is interested you can PM me.

I won't give any other information here, neither the name of the company here. Only if you PM me I will tell you the rest.

I can assure you, it's definitely not a scam. If anyone doubts is a scam, then good for them. Not everything is a scam in this country btw.

Always the same thing, I see this almost weekly on these forum where someone has the next biggest idea but can't do it themselves so they need someone else to do all the work so they can profit; well that's the idea anyway.

Too bad facebook 2.0, facebook for dogs etc etc etc has all been done.

If you have a valid project idea and you are so confident it would work (worlds next best and biggest money maker) you would be able to stand by your plan and get a loan from a bank to pay someone to do it. It's always the same though. "I have a great idea and want someone to put in all the time, money and effort and then when it fails oh well wasn't a waste for me at least".

It's always a plan that popped into the persons mind while scratching their nuts in front of the TV. There's no business plan, no case study, no market research, no profit projections, No nothing. Just a vague idea of something that they think will work - and then off to the MyBB forums to recruit some code monkeys to slave away for free while you sit around asking if the coder(s) can change all the fonts to Comic Sans MS.

Seriously dude, if you want someone to come onboard you need to offer up all of the above and state so. Clearly you have millions lying around if you think you and 2 other people are just going to get an office and split rent. The main objective of company/business is to make profit - thats business 101! How do you make money when you are already pissing away cash on office space when you have no product or service to make money to cover this? Then there's the cost of electricity, water, phone bills, equipment like pcs, printers, software packages like Visual Studio to actually code the products if so required, internet connection. Congrats you are already in thousands of rands of debt and you still have nothing.

100% of nothing is better than a 33% share of your magnificent debt creating scheme you have cooked up here. Well Done, get that man a Bells (if you can afford it).

I didn't say I have the next best idea out there. I didn't talk about creating a company that will provide the world a revolutionary idea. The office idea was just an proposal. It's not necessary. I'm not looking for people to do all the work FOR me. I'm looking for people who are willing to do the work WITH me. If you are not interested then please don't post on my thread. I'm not expecting everyone to be interested in this. But those who are not, they have no business posting bs like yours. If you read carefully, Im not saying anywhere about "next best thing" or "do all the work for me".

Well regardless, do you really think you are the first one to try get people to work for free on your project?
How will they be working with you? You say "Hey WE need this and that coded" (and by we I mean the people coding for YOU)

What will you be bringing to the table besides your idea? Have you actually done a business plan, case study, cost estimate, profit projection, market research? And are all these reliably, correctly and accurately done? If not I wouldn't recommend anyone to jump onboard because then you aren't serious about your plan/idea.

If it's a decent idea, have you approached a bank for a loan to pay a developer? If not then you aren't serious about your plan/idea. If you have, why was the loan not approved?

I'm not expecting everyone to be interested in this. But those who are not, they have no business posting bs like yours
We absolutely have business posting BS Like Mine. Because the coders that frequent this forum, especially the younger, more inexperienced guys, deserve to know that people like you are just out to use them and in 99% of the situations the plan falls through and they are left with many, many hours of work wasted because your plan is ultimately rubbish and the research was lacking or completely neglected to be done.

If you had any belief in your plan/idea/project you would have stated that you did all the research, that you have tried to get things off the ground and that it has ultimately come down to you reaching out for the generosity of coders with spare time to help contribute.

Everything stated above is completely lacking from your post. You're another fly-by-night chancer - if I'm wrong, prove it!

So naturally you thought a start-up is what you need?

He is looking to start a business and doesn't want to do it on his own - I don't see why you guys have to be such dcks about it. If you have no interest in starting a business then leave it be. Maybe another web designer in his area has also been thinking about starting a business and will see this and they can give it a go together. And let's be honest, it tough running a business on your own and can be easier if there are more people on board. Really, there is no reson to be so rude. He isn't making promises or expecting anyone to do anything for him, just putting it out there that he wants to start a business and is looking for others who want the same...

+1, to the douche bag who was being a douche, just ignore him, hopefully you get some replys via pm, and best of luck.. While the douche does have some merit in terms of office space(unnecessary), proper business plan etc I would just ignore the rest, there are certain people on this forum who are just here to see the negative and troll..
