I am one of those people but 18 months ago BB was at it's prime in this country and I upgraded to one. Now I still have 6 months to go before I can upgrade out and I currently have no phone as my replacement Torch has been sent back with a blank screen.

Got 6 months left on this bb vodascum contract.
    Vodacom bis.....dead.
Got a MTN prepaid sim......bis sucked.
Got an 8ta prepaid sim.....bis a bit better.

It's just too much effort to like blackberry anymore. I've tried to be loyal but RIM and all the SP's are like all the new world companies now......they just don't care. Greed has got them completely blinded to good business sense.

I feel sad for our once loved blackberry's -- but RIM really brought this on themselves. During the course of this ship running on the rocks it was quite obvious at to what needed to be done to 'save' it -- but the greed that powered them will be their destruction. Will these companies never learn.

A fail is a fail is a fail.

Maybe there isn't a problem today?
What did RIM and Vodacom do?

I decided to do a back to back test with my Vodacom 9780 and a collegues 9700 on MTN.
Result -Vodacom faster to load www.mybroadband.co.za (15 seconds!) and MTN loaded in 18 seconds!
Tried again with www.news24.com and same thing.

Is this a fluke? Did Alexandra Zagury switch off the throttling?

My Blackberry has never been so fast (yes Droid and iFans, you guys can do it in 2 seconds - we are talking Blackberry here), the "normal" times are usually over a minute, or a timeout after 2 minutes.
Is my blackberry gonna burst into flames at this speed? http://mybroadband.co.za/news/quick-...n-on-fire.html
Q: Where will I go after I die?
    A: Onto a backup tape.

    Why?

Blackberry runs on a fake internet inside the real internet. Its even worse than a VPN cause every freaking provider needs to get a dedicated connection to the overlord BB server. This is not and epic fail, no, its a global fail. Pity the sucka fools that fell for it.

I downloaded Opera mini its running smooth and faster than any cellphone browser I know. The problem is the failing I tried downloading a 80kb pic for more than 30 minutes failed the problem is with RIM and service providers. 8ta is experiencing it vodacom mtn and cell c the browser and the failing. Everything works fine the RIM team and service providers should fix the failing and browser or they will lose big time people have managed to crack browser its going to get to a point were we buy airtime to be online and forget about BIS I two I am not gona renew it till the problem is fixed because its a rip off we don't get what we pay for. Consumer power we customers pay your salaries. Get with service providers and fix it before its too late you don't want you customers loosing confidence on BIS
