Yes, and maybe if you have a stable connection it might even download a bigger screen and larger capacity battery.

    Samsung Galaxy S3 since 23-6-12
    BB 9900 since 30-12-11

Meh iphones are dead to me, there will be a bunch of new phones on similar hardware specs to the one X/S3 coming out soon. The platform hardware is normally stable for at least a year to two before the next big jump.

Did you know that all the Galaxy S3 phones in the USA are dual core & NOT quad core?
The Samsung Galaxy S2 - It is the only phone you will ever need.

Yes, and the Korean's also have a different spec phone.

Dunno why you are having a go at me, my original comment was clearly not meant to be taken literally.

I would definitely not get one of the current flagship phones to replace a S2, the difference is not that much.

You can download a S3 ROM for your S2, then you have a S3 for free.
I actually have to agree. There is not one piece of software (app) that can challenge the hardware in the S2 - even if you underclock and undervolt the S2 to other current phone manufacturer specs.

The development for the S2 is probably the most active of all handsets, so there is a lot of life left in the next couple of years.

The S3 is an awesome phone, but there is in reality not that big a difference between it and the S2. Yes the screen has better density and yes it has a quad core processor, but Samsung missed a great opportunity to make this phone the "only" choice.

There are a number of phones out there to choose from and they compare well with the S2 and the S3 like HTC, $ony, Motorola.

So if you have money that burns your pocket, get a new android phone, but do some homework first (gsm arena, xda, etc). If not, then you won't really be missing much in say the next 12-18 months.

Newer Dos Games on anDosbox, some roms on Mupen64 and FPSe, performance on some vnc apps, probably more but those are the ones I personally noticed ,but give it a few months and there will probably be more to add to the list

My contract is expiring in Nov next year so I'll go for the S4 (if it's out). By then the price would have gone down.

The next Galaxy Nexus should be out by then. It would have similar specs to the S3 with the pure Google experience
