Can't say if it works as I never had the problem, but an old wifes tale says a green apple diet clears the colon of toxins which causes ance. I heard you go on a green apple detox diet where you basically eat green apples every day, googled and found a similar story. As usual, use it dont use it..

Some people believe that green apples are extremely good for preventing and fighting existing acne both on your face and around the body. To avoid acne, eat one green apple a day (cut it into slices if need be and eat it throughout the day). And to reduce existing acne, cut a green apple into quarters and rub two of those quarters over the acne areas. If needed, use the rest, or just eat them. Combine this with drinking plenty of water to achieve clear skin.

go back on the oratane but take it every 2nd day. my daughter has bad acne which scarred her face. the scarring is now being repaired from the oratane, but the side effects aren't nice because of the dry lips etc. so i told her to take it every 2nd day. have lots of creams and lip balm available as well.

Just visit a dermatologist and save your self the cost of trying things that work for other people.

Doxycycline. It's an antibiotic and it takes a long time to kick in, but it is cheaper than roaccutane and worked well for me. I think you need a prescription.

    Doxycyclin works very well.

My dermatologist suggested using those green bars of Sunlite soap. He said that most of your more expensive soap bars contains a large amount of oil. The Sunlite worked very well for me - it removes most of the oily substances that promotes acne from your skin.

I was also on Roaccutane before and I agree - terrible stuff! My lips were perpetually cracked open while I used Roaccutane.

For me personally the solution was to stop using shaving cream and shave with prep instead - within a week my acne (which was not that bad but still bothersome) all but disappeared.

Yours might not even be caused by shaving / ingrown hair at all. But if it is look at a beard trimmer. Phillips has one that shaves you down to a 3-day stubble. No more ingrowns!

Allergies are also a common cause. In my wife's case it was gluten and and old co-worker of mine eventually found out her's was caused by aspartame - an artificial sweetener that's no longer widely used (still in coke light).

Roaccutane is essentially a really high dose of Vit-A. You could try just taking Vit-A and Zinc for a while to see if it helps. Since it worked for you before I like the suggestion to try it again but at a lower dose. Keep going down until you find the lowest that works.

I would not suggest trying to dose yourself with too much vit A unless it is in the form of accutane or whatever. Too much zinc is also not needed if you eat well.

Had to shave for my mates wedding, being one of the best men i could not rock it with stubble . O well a few weeks and i will be alright hahah.

It could be the shaving cream and not the razor, what is prep?

I took my dad shopping today and he told me about this stuff for shingles L-Lysine, he used it and said it has been helping him heal faster.

So i went and researched and it's awesome for acne. Try it and lemme know, took my first one today. 500mg.

there's a skincare range called Dr Hauschka. you can google it and phone the local agents - the lady i spoke to was Caro - very, very helpful and full of good advice. acne must be horrid for a guy, what with having to shave and all.

Roaccutane ****ed up my joints (after having a second round a few years after the first). Won't recommend to anyone. Years later and much omega3, chondroitin, it's still not like it used to be...
