How susceptible are wireless systems to jamming? In other words can criminals disables a sensor by jamming it the same way they do car remotes?

I purchased a wireless system from the USA - its a pain because every device runs on batteries, so just gave up on it - it did have cool features, such as sounding a verbal warning and dialling phones etc.

Yes, RF jamming is possible with wireless alarms systems.
The decent systems such as the Paradox Magellan systems actually detect and alert you if someone tries to use RF jamming.

Predator - ok, but range iffy. Also not supervised. Paradox excellent, you get what you pay for.

The last thing I'd want is a troublesome alarm system that either doesn't work when it should or triggers false alarms all the time.
Either scenario makes the system worthless.

Yeah, I was about to say what chris just said.

I'm going to be doing the alarm at my house in the not to distant future, and it will be paradox..
