    Looking to replace operations desktop's with thin clients

    Requirements:
    Dotnet 4
    Crystal reports 2010 ( report viewer)
    IE 8
    Office 2010

    Vmware vs Citrix ? cost's involved with regards to licencing

    What are the basics ? what do I need to know before I Start ? , Are there any trail versions of the software so that I can test before we buy ? , What specific software should be looking at getting ? What brand of thin clients should I be looking at ?

    What is/are the difference's with regards to bandwidth requirements for the thin clients?

    Have a look at ncomputing the L300. About 1600 per unit and you can just use a computer with windows 7 pro on as the server.

    I do work with these a bit so PM me if you need and advice

    @koeks ,The L300 is only 10/100 :/ need gigabit , How does the licensing work with regards to other software eg.office ?

    Connection Licensing to management server ?

    Did you setup from scratch or did you get someone in to get you started? any company's that advise/create a solution depending on your requirements that you may know of ?


    I thought there would be a lot more people using thin clients on this forum tbh
