    Default Discovery Vitality gym perk

With vitality, I know you can go to virgin active for something ridiculous like R150 a month or something. Anyone know if the vitality members are only allowed to go during peak hours or is it fully available?

    Thanks

It's R170 a month for a Premier membership, to be exact.

And the conditions are that you use your Discovery credit card to pay for you gym subscription. In addition to this, you can still get cash back on that payment.

As for the times, you can go at any time - they don't restrict you to certain times.

That's not that many years ago. If it was really years ago , you'd be on the deal I'm on: paid R700 once-off, and I only have to go 24 times per year. Which I usually do on the last two days of the month, to my shame (and just to swipe my card, to even more shame).

It changed this year up 36 times a year.
And the price is depending on the package you take.http://www.virginactive.co.za/partners/view/18

When joining there is an once-off fee of R745 (http://www.discovery.co.za/portal/lo...ual/get-active)

From there, you have two options. Join a local club only or join the national clubs.
Local club is around R70-90pm, and national club is around R150-200pm.
Their prices might have gone up.

I'm with planet fitness and pay R173pm for national access.

There are no restrictions regarding the use of the facilities, however you must attend gym 36 times during a 12 month rolling period, in order to get the discounted premium.

Cost depends on your gym's price. I pay R74 a month for with vitality.
    VG008 is correct.

I signed up earlier this month, having gone down to the gym yet, but you get 80% discount on your virgin costs according to the info I got from their sign up form thing. But you pay R130 for vitality I think. Still worth it though.

There is also another little known package called "area membership". I changed mine over 2 days ago and it allows me to go to both clubs here in EL, the one's in PE and the one in George for R90 odd bucks a month.... bargain!
