Exactly. Yes, saying 'South Africans are retards" is racist (according to the UN at any rate). It's a derogatory towards an entire group of people based on their nationality. If someone treated you like a moron because you're South African, of course that's racist! I actually had that in the UK a few years ago, these English guys were playing 'Magic' the card game - they had been really weird to me anyway but I asked if I could join the game and was told, no, it's too complicated, you south africans wouldn't be able to understand it (used those words)! The term racist has come to have a much broader meaning than it originally had. Like all words, meanings evolve.

Race itself is difficult to define, and it's not always easy to determine what race an individual belongs to. This is why the term racism is broader than only race. What race are Koreans? Does the fact that he specified South Koreans make his comments any less racist than if he had just said Koreans?

ok so the chinese, japanese, koreans etc all have the down's syndrome look. i should know having had a down's child myself and being privileged with a down's child. people with the slanted eyes look will be compared to the down's syndrome. i don't think they will be classified as mentally challenged but they will definitely be looked at with that comparison.
