Win8 is fast, stable and works great. What more could you want?

A start button on the desktop would be nice.

I don't want the metro User Interface on my laptop, its nice for the tablet and touch screen displays, but not on my laptop, and a start button like windows 7 would be nice.

Will Dell be Making Windows 8 Drivers for their Windows 7 Laptops? My touch pad software (which lets you use nice gestures such as pinching to zoom in and out) did not work on Windows 8.

You do realize that when you move your cursor to the top right (the hidden menu pops out) and clicking on search effectively gives you a full screen Start menu, right?

People need to get over their fear of a missing start button.

I wonder if all the whiners would be whining about the addition of this stupid button that says "Start" if it was Windows 95 just being released.

M$ giveth and M$ taketh away.

    Look ma, no start:

Does not work so great. I had to stop using it because of the lack of support for the OS.

Actually Linux users won't have a problem with it - we've already survived Unity & Gnome 3

Very cool hardware, will be interesting to see how well it works when released.
Also wonder how compatible the keyboard would be with an iPad?
Q: Where will I go after I die?
    A: Onto a backup tape.

I saw Synaptics Win8 gesture videos on Youtube the other day, so I'm pretty sure they have a driver somewhere on their website?

Can you imagine playing a first person shooter with that mouse?

specifically designed for mobile computing, adapting to the trend of portability in the PC world.
is designed for use with a tablet
The Sculpt Touch Keyboard weighs around one pound and is built for travel-purposes
It seems MS wants us to start packing up and lugging our desktops around.
