Default iOS6 beta expires today, bricked phone!

Hey guys, this threads for to give some info on the iOS6 beta.

A few weeks ago i got one of the devs in the office to upgrade my 4S to iOS6 beta, all has been well over the last few weeks, UNTIL this morning... I woke up with my alarm going off and no way to turn it off because my phone is asking me to activate it. Now activating doesnt work over wifi or plugin into my mac.

After some research, found out that the beta version i was on had expired today, which leave my phone in a "brick state" unless i download the latest beta version off the net or restore to iOS5...

Anyone else have this issue today?

Did you not update to the latest? i.e. beta 3
For future reference... you are obliged to upgrade to the latest beta to avoid these timeouts.

Now that is what I call a harsh wake-up call

Don't suppose the same dev that put it on for you, can upgrade it for you?

If you went through that rigmarole again with the official release so close, I guess you really, really like iOS6? Do tell!

love it, a whole bunch of little tweaks to the system but i must say, the ability to facetime over 3G is one of my fav! oh and the new maps is awsome, works very well! beta 1 was still buggy but cant wait for the official release!

Must admit, I am also very excited about the release. Keep checking to make sure that I have not missed an early launch or something

Does the maps app come with navigation in already? If it does, how is it?

Btw I find iOS6 very mediocre, the release focuses on some minor tweaks and Apple maps.

I was hoping personally for a major UI overhaul; sadly what we got is a degraded maps solution (vs Google) and some minor bug fixes.

Wish we could still use the Google maps until they improve the worldwide coverage (Google own map solution on iOS is too slow and buggy); Apple's South Africa maps at this stage are very crap.
