I've owned a FujiFilm digital camera some years ago. It took decent photos and videos. I eventually sold it to a friend that wanted something like that. They are very happy with the camera and can't stop boasting about the quality of the videos and photos.
Over the past years technology has improved a lot, so I think this camera will be a good p&s for recreational photography.
If you are looking for more features and control, you might consider something like a Canon or Panasonic. My personal preferences is Sony, but they are always more expensive than similar counterparts.
As with all cameras I would read up on it at places like dpreview etc.
Fuji has had some stellar cameras in their history and like other manufacturers also some duds.
entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem
Any more feedback on this?
Considering getting it for a very poor friend as her first camera. I see kalahari has it for R1600.
