Afrihost 1mb uncapped
Hello.
I am interested in the Afrihost 1mb uncapped for R197. Could anyone tell me how the service is with regards to speeds, throttling etc.
I would like to play online games during the day (dota 2) and stream online videos during the day (360p) and download during the night.

Well, I dont have a 1Mbps account but I have a 384kbps uncapped account and I did 60GB with it last month and were never throttled/shaped, I had full speed downloads everyday.
My brother plays cod4 with the account as well so it is good enough for online gaming.
On a 1Meg uncapped account you can easily pull a 100GB per month without Afrihost throttling you.

I signed up for the 1mb bundle today, so unfortunately I couldn't take this promotion. But if you are only using the package, then you can get a 80% discount for this and next month, I think.

had a 1Mb account and so long as you dont do over 120GB on a 30 day rollover period it works great, if your requirements are more than that tho you can expect a 50% drop in speed.
I am on 1 mb Afrihost uncapped. Diablo pings = 230ms most of the time with two people on. Logged on to wow and got about 214ms downloads using news servers run at full speed and i try to keep it under 100 gb per month. So far this service has been awesome. +1 to Afrihost. Another thing to remeber is Afriman on the forums here where you get vip treatment always.

I am on the 1 mb uncapped.
I did 83 gigs last month. Mostly news servers with some torrents and Diablo 3.
I was always going at full speed (downloads at over 100kbps) and have no complaints.
I would definitely recommend them service so far has been brilliant.
