Thread: Mountain Lion downloaded... kind of...

Default Mountain Lion downloaded... kind of...

    Hello all,

At the risk of making a mountain (ha ha) out of mole-hill - does anyone else have something similar in their Appstore?

I finally downloaded and installed ML this morning. About this Mac confirms the OS as being OS X 10.8 (12A269) - and checking for updates confirms nothing is available.

Problem is (or maybe it's not), when I go into the Appstore, ML still has "download" as an option - as opposed to the usual "installed". I'll pop up some screengrabs below.

When I click on the download button, it tells me that ML is already installed. Again, when I click on the Updates page, nothing is available, but when I go into the Purchases tab, both iPhoto and iMovie were listed as having updates available, and ML was again listed as being available to download. I clicked on the Accept button, for the second time, having done it the first time this morning - and was then given a message about this having already been accepted, and that I must refer back to my Purchases tab. On doing that, I'm presented with the final screengrab - which shows ML as being ready for download...

In the greater scheme of things, it's probably no biggie, since all appears to be working ok... Just wondering if I'm missing something, or whether or not this is something I should be concerned about...

As always - thanks in advance...

[aw shoot - still need to figure out how to add pics - will update as soon as I have]
[oh wait - it doesn't appear I have posting permission to upload pics - so be it. Use your imagination ]

Yup, got the same thing here.

I assumed it was for people who wanted the installer. I stupidly downloaded it the first time and immediately started the installer ( Which in turn deletes the actually DMG )

I then just downloaded it again and saved it away for future use. But to answer your question, my app store also says "Download" on Mountain Lion

Thanks. Kind of makes me feel better to know it's not just me... Also did the stoopid thing by installing straight away... Live and learn...
