The only difference is that everyone flamed Axxess while the Openweb fan boys here are flaming you.

It's not your fault that Openweb doesn't have control over their accounts, so I would recommend that you instruct your bank to reverse the debit order. The control issue is probably due to the fact that Openweb let a couple of clients use the same account details, therefore they cannot stop the account as other clients would be affected as well.

At least Axxess apologised and offered the client 1 free month...

OP, if you have not used the account, please drop us a mail, as this is then definitely a fault on our side which needs to be corrected.

Sorry, because I did not know it will not stop, there is some usage on it. Because it's your backbone you should know how much.

If it is no more than 10GB, I will refund you for the month. Please mail me so that we can make the arrangements

I think that's rather reasonable - you can't unknowingly use that much data in 2½ days.

10GB is actually extremely lenient, in my opinion.

What am I missing here? Are you not allowed to use the account in the notice period? How is that fair?

    :/

Of course not. He's paying for the account in the notice period, so why wouldn't you be allowed to use it? You're not allowed to use the account after it has been cancelled. His account expired at the end of July, and he still used it in August.

My cancellation went without any hitches. The key in canceling any subscription service is to confirm multiple times and ensure you have written proof of the cancellation.

I think what would also help is if Openweb had a decent customer login portal where
you can see/manage your accounts (single/uncapped/multiple accounts) like with most
ISP`s. Instead most communication is done in dark alleyways with emails and forums (unless i`m missing something)

Generally I am all for OpenWeb, I do agree though that service should be cut from their side-
