I am sure my wife can. Its not telepathy or anything, just knowing someone well. It does not work in reverse though.

My cat is also good at knowing when to turn up for food, a cuddle, just for a stroke, to be let outside. Cats and dogs especially are good at reading body language, so when I get off the couch at 8.30 she knows there is a 90% chance of getting a biscuit and will follow me in the kitchen and stare at the cupboard
