Moving my Telkom line to another address

Can anyone tell me how long does it take to move a Telkom line from one address to another?

I want to move my line (ADSL) from my studio to my home as I don't have ADSL at home.

As a benchmark it took me 3 working days to get my line moved, called on the Friday, I was online on Tuesday afternoon... I think that was lucky though

Hi,

Just a note. Telkom won't move the line if the ADSL service is not with them. You first have to cancel your ADSL service before requesting a move.

I had a great experience when I moved to my new address about 2months ago. Phoned Telkom the Tuesday, the techie contacted me on the Thursday to let me know he was coming on the friday to install my line etc. When he got there on the Friday he realized they had to put a new pole up for the cable as the plot was sub divided and the main pole was to far. Following Tuesday they came and put the pole up, Wednesday he installed the line and everything was up and running again at the new place. Was really impressed with them and the techie was awesome.
