I already have The Telegraph, Vanity Fair, New Scientist on iPad and was offered Time. The advert was on a flyer inserted into the magazine. I am not sure whether SA magazines are printed in SA or in Holland.
So download the App and went to Store. Print subscribers get it free it says. You fill in your customer number (from your magazine mailing label) on the form and off you go. Turns out that did not work, so tried name and address, that too did not work. Next is to email Time at the address provided. 2 weeks later get a reply saying I must direct my concern to Time Europe, no email address provided. After a bit of searching, find Time Europe's email address in Amsterdam.
No they tell me, we do not have your email address. Well, since I was not asked to provide it, I am not surprised. Fill in form again. This time it says, "Working, this may take a few seconds". After 45 mins this message still on screen. So email Time Europe again. Get a reply I must verify email address. How to do it? So I reply asking how to do this, on the iPad or to them? So yesterday I get a reply to say my customer number is not valid for the iPad subscription!
Have 2 friends who tried same thing, but gave up after initial registration failed.
