    No, according to the article in the news section you can't buy data bundles with the bonus. You can only surf OOB at R1/MB

    Where does it specifically say that? I can understand it would be that, but I didn't see it explicitly mentioned.

    The news article states:
    • Free airtime can be used for standard rate SMS, MMS, and Data
    • Free airtime may not be used for standard or promotional bundles (Data, SMS/MMS, BIS/BES) and premium rated services
