I don't see sub 9.5 - but who knows? It's gonna be an awesome final!
That's what they said about the last WR at the last Olympics. They said in the final he could never shave time off the previous run...

As has been said, Bolt was jogging at the end. Final is going to be insanely fast

True - though the swimming has been fun (not that I saw any of our medal wins)
Also, Archery was good fun to watch.

    Not seen much else.

But Athletics is definetely where it's at.
    Shake&Bake™. That, just happened!

Not to get too far off topic but I have loved watching the weightlifting as well. Thoroughly entertaining.

The short distance sprinters look beefy; manly; sporting.

The 1500m men just lined up for their race and I was surprised they all knew where to go. They all look mildly retarded. But then again, I guess one has to be slightly cuckoo to spend your life sprinting kilometres at a time...

Don't want to start a new thread...

In the last race (men's 1500?) the winner might get DQ'd as he stepped outside of the track on the second lap.

200m gets a huge amount of attention too. There was a lull between Michael Johnson and Usain Bolt but luckily the latter has brought some well deserved attention to the longer version...

I missed the end. I was busy writing a scathing post about them...

    He's black so it's fine.

Is it coincidence that in the Olympics, white people are winning medals for archery & shooting, and black people for running?

So USA vs Jamaica then. Hardly a fair fight - Americans are renowned for being a little slow...
