Default 11 Eye-Opening Highlights From a Creationist Textbook

It would be hilarious except for the injustice of forcing this education on children.

Well it would hardly be accepted by reasonable adults so what other impressionable demographic would they force it upon?

"Evolutionists try to guess what events caused things like the moon"

They do? I thought evolution was biology?
Besides, we already know how planets are formed, we have seen it.

Man, i'm so glad I wasn't spoon fed this garbage as a child.... but i'm more happy that I don't have to read this as an adult.

What bothers and perplexes me is that these books are written by adults, who ostensibly believe that what they write is accurate. A horrifying thought.

Yes, but if you actually read the books, do they honestly sound as though they were written by professional adults? The tone, the choice of words--it's as though the authors try to be formal but it falls into puerile, uneducated colloquialism: it's like reading someone's blog.

If that's what kind of literature constitutes "education" then the USA is far worse off than what we are.

Lycanthrope don't forget this book will almost certainly be directed at young kids who will hardly have the reasoning skills of your average adult.

    No one has seen electricity?

Clearly Bob Jones University doesn't experience thunderstorms nor have they heard of Ben Franklin.

Apparently nobody's felt it yet either. Which begs the question, why does god keep threatening them with a lightning bolt if it's harmless?

I'm a Christian who wants my children to have an good education and a strong Christian foundation, but keep this crap the hell away from my kids. I'm surprised there weren't any chapters that non-whites are from the devil and all Muslims are the anti-Christ himself, or is that Science 5 edition?

Well, to be fair, this is Bob Jones University. Hardly a fair place to judge the whole of the USA's tertiary education on.

The guy also says other parts of the book are pretty straight-forward science, and not this parochial claptrap, but I don't have trouble believing there are adults who actually believe that nonsense.
