Cellphone Insurance

Hi Guys,

Who of you have insurance with Vodacom? Their insurance company is Centriq Insurance (http://www.centriq.co.za/), I have never heard of them. I just want to know who of you have claimed for water damage, theft or damage beyond repair with Vodacom and how it was dealt with. I want to insure my Galaxy S3 and its going to cost me R150 a month, wanting to know if their are better deals out there.

Centriq is also known as Vodasure which offers standalone device insurance from phones to notebooks. See Vodacom website and follow link to insurance. If you are a Vodacom direct contract holder (Not any re-seller eg. Nashua and Autopage) the claiming process is painless via any Vodashop/Vodacom4U. For costing please visit their website etc.

I'm insured through Autopage - not actually sure who handles the insurance.

I recently claimed for physical and water damage. (my iPhone fell, hit the paving and then ended in the pool )

Claiming was painless - no hassles. I just had to wait for them to get stock of the iphone to replace mine.

And the cost is about the same, i think its about R130 to cover my iphone.
