Vodacom free airtime - Beware the fine print

Vodacom is offering prepaid subscribers free airtime, but you will be well advised to read the fine print

Vodacom said that not providing the benefits of the promotion to subscribers automatically is nothing strange. “This is a standard practice in many industries to ensure we measure the level of awareness and customer uptake from a promotion,” said Vodacom.
Barring Clintons little rant today, this has to be a new level of stupidity...

How about they actually just look at the calling figures, then they will see the awareness and customer uptake.

Christ-mass is NOT for Christians. Jeremiah 10.
Is the 10 Commandments for Christians?

Saturday is the Seventh day, Sunday is the first day.

This is what I wanted to reply.

Again consumers getting it from behind....
The theoretical capacity of a Boeing 747 filled with Blu-ray Discs is 595,520,000 Gigabytes, resulting in a 245,829 Gbit/s flight from New York to Los Angeles.

Sorry vodacom, your a bit behind the times, standard practice is rather old and boring, might wanna try something new.

    Wow! I am gob-smacked.

Shouldn't be though knowing who the offender is.

What spin is Jannie going to put on this one?

This means we will take advantage of our 'victims' er! that should read 'customers' until there is a change in the Law.

So glad I bailed from this company.

    The way Cell C does?

As for vodacrap to automatically rolling out beneficial promotions to everyone, that is just a pathetic way to try and reduce the impact of the promotion on their own bottom line, nothing todo with customer awareness.

Voda, here is a novel idea, roll out your "promotion" to EVERYONE and send them an SMS the first time they get the 60 minutes free. But no, that would actually affect your bottom line...
