Haha, you might not want to know...

On the specific laptop for $1099 I paid $180 shipping which includes insurance and customs were $1099*1.1*0.14 = R +- R1500

I'm happy though, ordered an ASUS which is way better than I could get here for that price and has 2 year global warranty so I just take it to CRT here and they repair it for me under warranty, as good as buying it here.

Did you get a zenbook? I'm after a zenbook.. specifically the UX32VD - the version that is available in SA is not the 1080p one

So in total, it came to about R10.5k?

When you say the $180 included insurance and customs, you mean you paid when you placed your order, and so the customs where prepaid, and the laptop didn't get delayed at customs etc.. it just came straight to your door?

Also, who did they ship with on the US side, and could you track it all the way to your door?

Lol, sorry for all the questions, I'm going to be ordering from the US soon as well and your positive experience is good news to me
