    Default Bad speeds in Port Elizabeth

    For the last 2 weeks we cannot use 8ta in my office. We are 2 people in the same office using 8ta and our speed is the same. CR@P.
    down. 1.06
    up 0.03
    96 ping.
    Been like this for 2 weeks. My speed test at home is great. so no problem with my modem or laptop.
    My friend phoned last week and was told that they will send a person out to come and fix it. Did not happen.
    Yesterday he phoned again and was told by Marato that the tower in Central Port Elizabeth is over loaded and that they cannot do anything about it but the will send someone out and that he will just say the same thing to him. Call log 1624521
    WTF
    Could the 8ta rep please have a look and tell me if this is true.

    If the tower is overloaded, maybe they should put another tower on, or just move all cell users to roam on the MTN towers an leave the 8ta data users on the 8ta towers.

    i is not my problem how they fix it. The response they gave us really suck. We had great speed. I was doing 7-9 Mbps. stopped sending my e-mails during the day. Tried a 6 meg mail yesterday. took almost 2 hours.

    to many people are overloading my bank account next month so i will only be able to pay half...... That could be fair....

    LOL, i wish that was possible to only pay half.. Then i would have more $$$ to spend.

    The tech guy phoned my friend and did the usual test. ask for a ping test. Change some settings. Said that there is nothing wrong with the settings. speed still cr@p. No joy. next step is for them to send someone on monday to have a look. Was also informed that there is nothing wrong at the tower!!!. will update on monday.
    Is there anybody else in the Port Elizabeth Central area in the day with problems??

    I am in Parsons Hill, a colleauge in Lorraine also on 8ta. Speed & pings keep fluctuating all the time.

    If if this is what is going to carry one happening i am concerned what the outcome will be when LTE is implemented here next year.

    I get great speeds in westering as well. Just my office in central is the problen. I get a full signal. On the 8th floor.

    Down 2.21Mbps
    Ping 51

    8ta in westering
    Down 7.92Mbps
    Up 0.88 Mbps
    Ping 49

    8ta in central
    Down. 0.9Mbps
    Up 0.03mbps
    Ping 121
