    Default Video editing apps?

Are there any good video edit apps that will work with 1080p? I'd like to edit some of the gopro videos, and doing it on my ipad will be convenient, most of the ones I find are "paid for" and I don't want to pay for something that won't work

    Sorry I use my PC.
On a side note though, how are you getting the footage onto the iPad?

iMovie might do it but I'm not sure what format the gopro video is.

Surely an Ipad will take weeks to do any video editing? It's just not powerful enough.

Actually, with iMovie it is rather fast, unless you are doing a 1 hour or 2 hour movie.

@xrapidx - have a look on the internet (google) there are lots of reviews of iMovie on iPad including tutorials. The worst part is actually getting your movies on to the iPad unless you have a camera adapter kit.

    Makes it a snap.

Just tried importing avi's from my 7D (1080P) and Nikon P&S (SD) and it went without a hitch.

    Cool - thanks.

I rechecked my searches, and its Avid Studio that's limited to 720p

Out of interest, how does it handle 1080p editing?

    I double checked:

Handles it pretty well. Do you have the iPad2 or the new iPad?

Have to say for under $5 it's definitely worth having imo.

I haven't used it extensively but to my uneducated eyes it handles it well.
