True, but I think Pria is just trying to explain that the VPN or proxy provides you with an IP address which is different from the one which you get in the country you connected from.

So. Are the authorities and DSTV willing to spend budget on trying to enforce this law and smoke out the perpetrators? Do not see that happening !

I'm sorry, but I have a feeling Supersport or the IOC would have the right to bring charges against the people distributing the content, but the people accessing the content (provided they're not using methods to bypass content protection directly themselves) would more than likely be in the free and clear.

Guys dont watch dstv through the window of the TV shops, Multichooose will lock you up for bypassing the normal viewing methods.

    This is aint no joke

all this is caused by attempting to license things in physical territories using the borderless internet for distribution.

these suits have to decide. either leave the internet alone and license your content with different terms for each country, or embrace the internet, and offer $9.99 access to anyone, whether on Bolivia or Bogota.

I dont think DSTV is losing any money.. I dont have dtsv and will not get it. Its too costly and full of repeats. I have VPN access that i pay for and if this gives me access to the Olympic stream, i will watch it.

At the end of the day, We all are paying for our services and this entitles us to use it to the fullest.

1)They would have to identify the User.
    2) They would have to prove actual infringement.
    3) It would have to be financially viable for them to proceed with civil action.

Sorry, the chances of this happening are the same as me winning the 100 meters mens Sprint.
