    Make it stop.

    Oh, too late.
You're showing a lack of comprehension of what's happening.

I'm happy about this, the app had basically never been updated and lacked functionality like voting on comments or showing the top comment. The web page works great, and now Google can make their own Youtube app, which can be updated more frequently.

Exactly. This only seems to be an issue for the fandroids.

That's exactly what is happening, this is in every way a good thing. Apple is giving google more control.

The license has runout, was inevitable.

And I have my doubts that either party was particularly keen to renew.

Yip, was just a workaround apple needed with the launch of the iPhone back in 2007.

I really liked the Apple Youtube app on the iPad, I hope Google makes a good replacement. I hate using Youtube via web browser on an iPad.

I am sure Google will make a Gmaps & Youtube app for iOS... Otherwise apple might loose a lot of customers to Android.... Which will be a big win for Samsung and Apple will be back in court again!
