Default Kozhikode Hill Station in Kerala

Tourists from all over the world visit Kerala to enjoy its beauty and taste its culture. Tours can be arranged to the hill stations, backwaters, wild life sanctuaries and many other places. Each place provides entertainment to the tourists in its own way.

To enjoy a quiet and beautiful vacation, Kerala holiday tours can be arranged to the unexplored Vellarimala in the hilly reaches of Kozhikode district. There are attractive waterfalls formed by the Kanjirapuzha, which is a tributary of the Chaliyar River. It runs through the rocky terrains and renders a trekking trip adventurous by elevating the weary spirits of the tourists. Another ideal place for rock climbing and trekking is the falls of Thusharagiri which is situated 55 kms from Kozhikode. It offers excellent conditions for trekking through the river path and waterfalls which pass through plantations of rubber, pepper, ginger and spices. It is popularly known as the ‘Green Splendor’ of the Western Ghats. The evergreen forested hills are always teeming with rare species of birds and animals and are surrounded by four waterfalls. The waterfalls are at their best in the months of September to November. The dam of Peruvannamuzhi is another tourist spot about 60 km from Kozhikode. It is a beautiful picnic spot and is set between the hills. Speed boat and row boat cruises are made available in this place and many tourists take advantage of it. There is also a bird sanctuary and a crocodile farm that attracts tourists. Many tourists find it to be one of the most peaceful places.
