Hi boys and girls.
I'm helping someone out with an HTC Tytn II
Here's the current situation:
The phone boots into WM6.1 but only gets as far as saying "The device is clearing the storage please wait." which I've left over night and nada. There is no SIM or SD card installed.
I have tried flashing it with HTC's official rom but I get an error saying it's not a valid vendor ID. So where would I find an SA (Vodacom/MTN) rom then?
I've read on XDA that I can use something called HardSPL but that seems to require the phone to be working properly in order to copy stuff to the phone.
I have no experience with Windows Mobile (I hate it, even more now!)
I don't want a custom rom or any tweaks, just an official clean firmware.
What does work:
I can boot into the tri colour bootloader
I can hard reset it (which doesn't help the clearing storage issue at all)
and I can connect to it via MTTY and issue it commands.
Still wading through all resources on the net.
Would appreciate any tips, in the dark here.
