I bought the Bisell Hydro Compact a couple of years ago. Have saved a lot on not having to buy vacuum bags. Just a pain to clean.

If you could put your carpet under a microscope you'd rip them all out. Then you won't need a vaccum cleaner.

Completely agree however I cannot have anything else in a bedroom.
Trust in God and keep your powder dry.

Have had a Miele for about 20 years and it even still looks new. A lot better value than the cheap one that I had before that lasted two years.

Had laminated flooring replace all carpets. Now my house has wooden and tile floors only. Less sinus and healthier living as well as it looks cleaner.
I will agree though that the laminated floors are noisier and a bit cooler but willing to pay the price.

    Bissell is a good option.

My maid has broken my Miele vacuum 4 times... and it stinks if you have dogs, even their "dog" model. Water thrown away any day for me...
