BlackBerry 10’s interface will resemble something along the lines of Android and iOS’s designs, which will integrate widgets, home screens and app lists.

The touch-oriented operating system will use the new Cascades UI Framework to enhance graphics for the BB10 interface.
So absolutely nothing new, with a horrible looking phone, fewer apps than everyone else, no backwards compatibility, and a USP prone to more attrition than their staff compliment.

I see absolutely nothing of interest here - just an excuse for their CEO to explain why it will be late. Again...

I wonder if BB 10 will be enough to compete with Android and iOS.

Wait, all current BB Apps wont work? That is cheap!

If there were any devs still interested in the BB platform, they must have defected by now to either iOS or Android.

They need to put food on the table for their families, can't wait for RIM to get their house in order.

So...my big question is.....will there be any apps written for BB10 come 2013? Somehow I just don't think so.

    R.I.P RIM & BlackBerry
The Samsung Galaxy S2 - It is the only phone you will ever need.

Aren't they guaranteeing $10k minimum, per app...?

Will there still be money left in RIM's bank account to pay for it?

Pretty sure that is a cover. Sort-of like new BMW drive around with body mods to disguise their shape before launch.

    Unlikely.

No idea. RIM does the version thing weirdly anyway.

I gather there is some enthusiasm among the few devs still left. Sounds like they have some type of app builder thing going that makes things easier.

Regardless of what they do I'll bail at the end of my contract. Not so much because of RIM/device...its just that BIS is a fcking pain.

And I never get why?! I am yet to meet a BB owner whose phone worked properley for two years without some hardware problems. Maybe I just got stupid friends..

Luckily I got my wife converted and her next phone will be an S3

Must say, I still like BB for business use! Social use - absolutely you can go android /iOS - but their email etc is not to the level of BB imho

Devs doing work for Android can through a very short process create a native BB10 app from the Android code. Will not take long for all Android apps to be on BB10. Picture not as bleak.

Myself keen on getting new Playbook.

Yip, they complain its slow, it crashes, deletes contacts, buttons break, needs battery pull resets. When I ask what their next phone will be they say blackberry, stupidity knows no bounds
