Bolt could've gotten a better time, should've started a sec faster.

They should have done much better. The new runner in the 3rd leg lost a lot of time. IMHO, they should have gone with the guy who ran in the 200m final. Would have been a much better choice. Realistically, they should have ended about 6th or so.

I have been waiting for the splits but they don't seem to have come up yet, Pistorius ran the second-fastest split time of the South African team, 45.69 seconds.

If I see one more person cry about the baton "scandal". . .

For one, there is no doubt in my mind that after having come throught the heats and semis these athletes know what procedures are to be followed. Secondly, aside from knowing what happened/should happen at these Olympics, these athletes have run many events over a few years, so further reason to know what procedures are followed, seeing as all of them are run under the auspices of the IAAF. And finally, I'm pretty sure they're told pre-race what should and should not be happening on the track.

And at the end of the day they got the baton. So dry your eyes. mate.

    My bad.

I interpreted it as they were going overboard celebrating a "lowly" bronze medal, as in "So sad to celebrate bronze as if you won".

But yes, I felt bad for them.
