    Default DDR2 800 timings

    Hi

I have a ECS G31T-M7 mb with 4 gig ddr2 800 ram on it. The ram timimgs by default run 5 5 5 15, is that correct?

    The small program HWinfo64 show 3 ram timings : 4 4 4 12 for 226, the 5 5 5 15 for 333, and 6 6 6 18 for 400.

    Is my timing not sepose to be 6 6 6 18 for 400 (x2 = 800)

    Hope some techie can help

I'd also suggest using CPU-z to get the RAM timings. Post screenshots of both the Memory & SPD tabs.

    Most DDR2 800 modules should run at 5 5 5 15.

The lower the timing the faster your system, only increase it if your system is unstable.

Making it higher would slow your system a little...5-5-5-15@400 is a sweet spot for most DDR800 rams
