Thread: Openweb Gold - How many people are actually satisfied with these accounts?

Default Openweb Gold - How many people are actually satisfied with these accounts?

I've been on Openweb Gold for the last year or so. On my VB account, I was happy. About a month ago, I lost the VB account. Ever since then my experience has been an absolute nightmare. They no longer offer accounts on the VB backbone (despite MrBeep making promises about coming to a resolution with VB about it), and the other backbones I've been placed on give endless problems.

IS is unusable during the day due to daytime shaping. BCS is so unreliable you never know when it's going to work. Right now, downloads are impossible on BCS because they simple DO NOT WORK.

I have no other options, it would seem. I'm paying a premium for a 'Gold' account that I cannot use. Whenever I complain, support just tells me the issue is on my end. Well, bull****. I pay a premium for a product that seems to be getting outperformed by the entry-level uncapped offered by Mweb.

Anyone else on Gold Uncapped with OpenWeb, are you satisfied with what you are currently getting for your money? I'm just trying to get an indication for how people currently feel about the product, because I simply am not happy. I miss the days where I could use the internet without having to worry whether it is going to work or not.

I miss the days where I got value for my money, because at the moment OpenWeb Gold is NOT value for my money. I'm just so frustrated with it. :/

Yes, but this thread is here because I'm trying to gouge customer satisfaction on the Gold accounts.

As I've previously said, I was happy with my 4Meg Gold, and now happy with 6Meg Gold.

    Thanks MrBeep

This can be achieved by the already existing thread. A second thread is not necessary, as your post relates to feedback regarding OpenWeb Uncapped accounts. There is already a thread for this.

Please refer to the OpenWeb Uncapped feedback thread for further responses from us.

I am happy with 4MB Gold. Most of the time I get full line speed. I'm on the Altech backbone. Used mainly for general browsing and occasional large downloads. I don't use it much during the day except for weekends, when it is fine.

    Hope this helps.

Hope they can sort your line out.

Ditto. I had major issues during working hours last month and gave them the boot.

I'm on a 1Mb Gold uncapped account on IS, experience has been pretty much a like a Wimpy steak, Its tough and the chips are stacked against it.

During the day from 8am to 5pm, don't even think about surfing the web or watching youtube vid's or stream a live game and so on, not gonna happen.
Been with OW for about a year now, i have decided to move on, i am not bitter or anti Openweb, they are great as a ISP and service delivery is superb. But once they finally realize and fix the issue il then reconsider coming back.. but as for now i need a service that i pay a hefty value towards, so i should be getting that value.

I'm very happy with my account also, been running like a boss and downloading like a mofo on the IS backbone

    No complaints from my side
And thats the bottom line, cause StoneCold said so...

My IS OWG is fine. I get full speed all the time... with no issues at all.

I am still very happy with it. It just works.

    This is definitely a fault.

Even under the worst network strain this speed is not accepted.

Please email me: ceo@openweb.co.za so that this can be fixed.
