No, the included MB do not count as a bundle, and then when you have finished the included MB you pay 99c... this is confusing. Correct me if I am wrong?

It is confusing. Basically I think you buy a bundle, and therafter your OOB is 0.15c a MB. I know I bought airtime earlier this month and it was @ R.99 a MB. But load a bundle and it changes.

What confuses me the most is they don't even need bundles. If everything is 0.15c a MB, why even have bundles? Just charge 0.15c flat rate.

Where did you get the above info from? That could be stale information - reflecting the pricing when StraightUp first launched 2 months ago. The 15c data rate was only launched 2 weeks ago.

I think there must be some sort of technical limitation. Or perhaps in future they might want to differentiate their pricing again.

    Good Day

THe OOB 0.15c is only applies for loaded data bundles.

EG.... if you load an extra data package to sim pre- paid / post , once that bundle reaches OOB it will go to 0.15c OOB.
the data you get on straight up packages is at that packages tariff rate.

Implying if u load a data bundle to straight up packages, the oob rate after you use up the bundle is reverting to 99C?

Yes, I just finished my StraightUp data and have been chared 99c/MB. I have loaded a SmartData Bundle now, I shall assume it will then be 15c when this bundle runs out.

Yes. So my assumptions were wrong. The data that comes with every StraightUp contract (e.g. 100mb on StraightUp 100) is not a data bundle in the traditional sense. But no worry, you can just buy a small data bundle for under R10 to benefit from the 15c per MB in and out of bundle rate.

No all the data costs are now R0.15/MB whether in or out of bundle.

No. The R0.15/MB out-of-bundle rate only applies after you have bought and depleted a bundle, and data included with a contract does not count as a bundle.
