Thread: Graphics Card voltage

  1. #1

    Default Graphics Card voltage

I have had my build for around a year and a half - GPU has given same issue ever since I bought it.
PC sets voltage at 0.950 if I remember correctly and from within the standard software I have I can up the card to 1.2.

At 0.950 card freezes up PC and gives the message "Stopped responding and recovered"
Ramp it up to 1.2 and it seems to work.

Very weird - shoulda taken card back. (Club3d)

    Anyone else ever experienced this?

    What model is it?

It isn't uncommon that the manufacturers sell factory overclocked cards without increasing the GPU voltage enough...

Hmm, I haven't really heard of the HD 5770 series having that issue.

The most common one that I've seen was the Gigabyte GTX560Ti.

Run it at 1.2 then or as you suggest force yourself into the upgrade
