And if you've had no training in riot control, then perhaps you should keep your untrained opinion to yourself?

I saw one white cop on the news shouting cease fire, while every other cop carried on shooting.

Several people have died from being hit badly by a rubber bullet. Police also normally fire them into the ground from where they bounce up thereby reducing the impact velocity on the victim. Rubber bullets are efficient enough for all of the first world police forces.
It's in the rough waters that you quickly notice the presence or absence of the ship's captain. Who is at SA's helm?

I doubt the first world police forces face a mob wielding pangas, spears and live ammunition very often - and if they did I bet they would pull out their real guns too. Our cops may not be a first world police force, and they don't face first world problems.

They were already doing that... and water cannons... and tear gas... Do people willingly ignore this fact? Its not like the police pitched up and this happened instantly ffs. Nevermind the police asked them to disarm many many which they ignored...

What the fark were they meant to do when a mob ignored all that, and then charged at the police with guns and deadly melee weapons, shouting a warcry?

This is what rubber bullets do, but yea, it wouldnt have been enough.

Come to think of it, if they had used rubber bullets, the protesters would have been shot, found themselves still alive, and deduced that their muti was working as planned and carried on.

How many guys the Greece Police force kill during the recent Greece uprisings where they were burning buildings and throwing molotovs around?

How many buildings and cars got damaged? The police were completely ineffective. Just like the recent riots in London. What are "acceptable losses" to civilians and innocents during this kind of riot?
Do the losses become less acceptable when it's YOUR family business that is destroyed?

Rubber bullets and "bean bags" stop people dead in their tracks even when they are so under the influence that they no longer feel pain.

How many firearms were recovered from the 25-35 guys that were killed? The cops outnumbered those 25-35 guys.

Buildings and cars can be replaced, loved ones can't. Please tell me you weren't just comparing the loss of HUMAN life to material loss?

I beg to differ. These guys weren't just hit by one bullet, they were hit by several. Several rubber bullets would have stopped these guys "almost" dead in their tracks.

I don't see how rubber bullets would help against a huge mob determined to kill cops.

I'm questioning the humanity of those killed, if you insist on putting it that way

A huge mob of 25-35? There were more police officers on that spot than there were rioters...
